Mr. Jesser
My name is Mr. Thomas Jesser. I earned a Bachelors of Science degree from Grand Valley State University in 2001 where I majored in History and Political Science. I earned my Masters Degree in 2009 in History and Secondary Education. I am currently working on my PhD at Western Michigan University where I am focusing on the eugenics movement and organized labor during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. I started teaching at Godwin Heights High School in 2003. Since then, I have taught World History, US History, American Government, and Current Issues. I’m passionate about history and work to challenge students to engage with the past to understand America today. I live in Allendale with my wife and two children. We love cheering on Wolverine football, basketball, and volleyball together! Parents and students should check the US History Website often.
